Brewery Arts Center is currently in the running to bring a 10 week live music series to Carson City during the Summer of 2017. With the Levitt AMP Carson City 2016 Award, the Brewery Arts Center was able to bring in such Nationally renowned groups as Mumbo Gumbo, Southern Drawl Band and SambaDa’, for FREE concerts for 10 straight Saturday nights and became the cornerstone of entertainment and family friendly activities all summer long.

Suspects in attempted robbery at Carson City Keva Juice face multiple charges

Two men arrested Saturday in connection to an attempted armed robbery at a south Carson Street juice shop have been identified, each facing multiple charges, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

After an action-packed Nevada Day Saturday, Sunday traditions carry on, such as the 35th Annual La Ka Lel Be Pow Wow at the Carson Colony gym. Take the kids up to Virginia City for one last chance to catch Thomas the Tank Engine at the V & T Depot. It may be a little rainy, but the show must go on at the NV Day Carnival and Festival at Mills Park.

Carson City arrests: Man jailed for embezzlement warrant, failure to register as sex offender

A 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday in the 470 block of Clear Creek for felony suspicion of being a sex offender failing to register and warrants for failing to register in Lyon County, embezzlement and being a fugitive from justice, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

I’m usually a lover of sunny days, but right now I say bring on the rain. The moisture is a welcome help to our heroic firefighters in Lake Tahoe and Washoe Valley. Because of the wet weather and the recent fires, some activities have been postponed: most notably the Advocates to End Domestic Violence’s Annual Light After Dark Run. There are still plenty of things to occupy your time, but the weather may force more cancellations.
