Signups Underway: Congressman, Carson City Sheriff to officiate 'Dodge for the Cause' tourney
The Carson City District Attorney’s Office will host a friendly game of dodge ball it has dubbed "Dodge for the Cause" joining other community organizations to promote domestic violence awareness.
The event will be Nov. 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Multi-Purpose Athletic Center, also known as the MAC, 1860 Russell Way in Carson City. Signups are underway now. The Entry fee is $10 per player. If you want to come and watch, a donation of $1 or a toiletry donation is appreciated.
Any donations of toiletry products are appreciated and will go to benefit Advocates to End Domestic Violence and its ongoing mission to help victims in our community.
Donation jars can be found at participating agencies including: Carson City Sheriff’s Office, Public Defender and Conflict Office, the Carson City Fire Department, Juvenile Court and Probation Division, Court Personnel, Alternative Sentencing and Court Security, Board of Supervisors and City Hall, and Advocates to End domestic Violence.
Officiating the Dodgeball event will be Congressman Mark Amodei and Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong.
Entry fee gets participants a T-shirt, bottle water, granola bar and goodie bag. Winning team will get bragging rights and trophy for one year until the next competition.

Purple is the color for domestic violence awareness. Organizers encourage teams to wear something purple!
Please come to support and cheer on the participants in "Dodge for the Cause." This event was created to promote Domestic Violence Awareness. All proceeds will go to Advocates to End Domestic Violence.
