Carson City arrests: Woman flees deputies, slams into parked motorcycle and runs into bar

I would be hard pressed to choose between the Nevada Day Parade and the annual Taste of Downtown. Luckily, I can adore them both, and for much the same reason. They are a celebration of community, of Carson City, of our historic downtown and all that it has to offer. In addition to 'The Taste', the Brewery Arts Center goes country with the Southern Drawl Band on its outdoor stage, and Madam Curry leads another downtown Ghost Walk. Families and groups can participate in the walk, enjoy the race breakfast, and help celebrate Nevada by enjoying the Nevada Day Parade that immediately follows the Classic.

Carson City Grocery Outlet partners with FISH, community members to fight hunger

In Carson City, Grocery Outlet has teamed up with Friends In Service Helping, also known as FISH, and will be collecting donations now through the end of July that will go directly to FISH.

Carson City arrests: Man jailed on suspicion of child abuse, being a felon with a stun gun
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Tue, 06/21/2016 - 2:32pmUPDATE THURSDAY: Joseph Andrew Crump was arraigned Thursday in a Carson City courtroom. He was arraigned on suspicion of domestic battery first offense, being an ex-felon in possession of a stun gun, and being an ex-felon failing to register.
The District Attorney's Office hasn't concluded its investigation of felony child abuse, in which Crump was also arrested on suspicion. The matter remains under investigation. His bail remains at $40,000.

A 36-year-old Carson City man faces multiple charges including felony child abuse, being a felon in possession of a stun gun, domestic battery and being an ex-felon failing to register, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
