Carson City Sheriff’s Office would like to remind the community of some on-going scams and frauds that occur on a regular basis. Too often we are seeing people lose money and personal information to scams. With the technology that is out there, the bad guys can hide anywhere.

Carson City Sheriff's Office detectives served a felony warrant Saturday morning at 8:10 a.m. on 44 year-old Carson City resident Barrak Lauderbaugh at his residence in the 3700 block of Woodside Drive, according to the report by a Carson City Sheriff's detective.

Detectives from Carson City Sheriff’s Office and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office worked a joint investigation Wednesday involving multiple residential burglaries between the two counties. Three men were arrested as a result of the investigation, a law enforcement captain said.

UPDATE 2PM: Two men are in custody Wednesday afternoon for suspicion of at least two of three daytime burglaries, said Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong. We will update as we know more. Check back for details in this developing story.

Carson City Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in reporting suspicious activity. Within the the past nine days, three residential burglaries were reported to have happened during the middle of the day.

Carson City Sheriff's deputies are responding to a reported robbery at a business in the Woodside area of east Carson City.

A 32 year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday evening at 6:29 p.m. on a misdemeanor warrant for resisting a law enforcement officer and drawing a weapon in a threatening manner, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy arrest report stated.

Due to the continuing heavy rains and local flooding, Lyon County Manager Jeff Page is asking for Dayton residents to stay home as much possible and off the roads. There are a number of current road closures throughout the area, and the weather conditions are expected to get worse throughout Sunday night.

A 33 year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday night on suspicion of felony domestic battery with strangulation and for child endangerment, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy arrest report said.
