The Carson City Fire Department was called Monday afternoon to a structure fire in the 3200 block of Woodside Drive.
The came came into dispatch at around 1:45 p.m. of a possible structure fire at a two-story duplex unit. The fire was extinguished by the time firefighters arrived.

UPDATE 4:30PM: Sheriff's deputies are preparing to block off the intersection of Stewart and Roop streets to give room for emergency vehicles.

Emergency dispatch is reporting a two-vehicle motor vehicle accident having occurred at around 4:20 p.m. at the intersection of Roop Street and Beverly Drive.

The Carson City Fire Department was called just before 9 a.m. to the intersection of Clearview and South Carson Street for traffic accident.

After 33 years of service, Carson City Fire Chief Bob Schreihans is hanging up his turnouts. Schreihans, who has served as the chief for two years with Carson City, announced his retirement, effective Feb. 1.

Flash floods early Wednesday morning prompted the Carson City Emergency Management Operations Center to reactivate, officials said.

Several engines were on scene Saturday afternoon to battle a blaze that had fully engulfed a home in a mobile home park on Tiger Drive in Carson City.
NV Energy and Southwest Gas utility trucks had also arrived on scene to shut off utilities to the residence.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

Carson City emergency managers have produced a video for residents ahead of anticipated flooding throughout western Nevada expected from an an atmospheric river weather event over the weekend.

The Carson City Fire Department was called early Sunday afternoon to a chimney fire in the 1300 block of Continental Drive , near Douglas and Woodside.

The Carson City Fire Department was called Friday afternoon to a gas leak at 3325 Research Way, Nevada Health Center.
The call came into dispatch just after 1 p.m. with reports of a heavy natural gas odor coming from the building, according to dispatch. The building was evacuated and an investigation was underway.

Carson City fire and ambulance has joined Lyon and Storey County emergency personnel in responding to a Monday morning vehicle crash on Highway 50 West of Riverboat in Dayton.

Carson City Fire Department was called Friday afternoon to a structure fire in the 600 block of Martin Drive.

The call went out just after 12:30 p.m. According to dispatch, a 911 caller reported smoke inside the structure. The occupants were evacuated.

UPDATE 8:32AM: A small brush fire was extinguished Thursday morning in a field next to Greater Nevada Credit Union on North Carson Street. The cause of the 20 by 20 foot fire was likely from a nearby homeless camp, said Carson City Fire Department Capt. Scott Baker.

Emergency dispatch reported a brush fire shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday morning off North Carson Street next to Greater Nevada Credit Union near the Arrowhead Drive/Medical Parkway intersection.
