Dutch oven cooking demonstration, Sweet Sippin' Sunday in Genoa
Step back in time and sample authentic Dutch oven fare as you learn how early pioneers crossing the California Trail prepared their meals during a dutch oven demonstration Sunday at Mormon Station State Historic Park in Genoa.
Traversing the Great basin was a rough journey, with little timber and vegetation along the winding Humboldt River. Park Rangers will tell stories about the pioneer’s perilous travels across Nevada while teaching the basics of Dutch oven cooking.
Stick around for the final Genoa Sweet Sippin' Sundays event of 2015, from 1 to 4 p.m. also in Genoa. Go here for details.
