Two Carson City men accused of first degree murder in the September killing of an Oregon man have been extradited to Klamath County and will go before a judge on Monday.

Silver City, Nevada - There will be a "meet and greet" with New Zealand Artist Sophie Scott, the current visiting artist at the Resident Artist Program in Silver City, on Thursday, October 19th from 6pm-8pm at the Silver City School House at 385 High Street.

If they were discharged with a less-than-honorable discharge based on their sexual orientation, they may be eligible for a discharge upgrade.

The Sierra Lutheran Cross Country Team traveled to Folsom, California for the Bella Vista Bronco Invitational on Saturday, Oc. 14. The weather was clear and cool with a touch of humidity. The course of 3.1 miles winds across a grass field, semi-hard packed dirt trails and gravel roads through Willow Hills Cross Country Course at the Willow Hills Reservoir.

Carson High School junior Ethan Byassee placed first in Race for the Cure held Sunday at City Plaza in downtown Reno. The 17-year-old finished with a time of 17:23. Ethan is a member of the CHS Varsity Cross Country team and Track and Field teams.

A Dayton woman was arrested early Saturday morning for suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said, after methamphetamine was found concealed in an Altoids breath mint tin.

At least four people have contacted the Carson City Sheriff's Office Saturday morning to report telephone calls threatening to arrest them if they did not pay money, a Carson City Volunteer In Public Service officer said.

A 37 year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday afternoon in the area of North Roop Street and East College Parkway for misdemeanor disorderly conduct, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said, after he had been displaying aggressive behavior in public.
