Carson City area weather: Beautiful start to the week, but changes are coming
It will be a pleasant start to the week with warming conditions and sunny skies for the Carson City area but changes are around the corner, according to the National Weather Service.
Some smoke and haze from ongoing wildfires in California is possible, but exact impacts will depend on how actively fires burn. For Carson City, Carson Valley and Dayton areas, highs will be around 70 each day with lows in the upper 30s to low 40s.
A storm is expected to move into the region the end of the week bringing increasing winds, rain and mountain snow. Some travel impacts are possible for mountain passes on Friday, especially above 8,000 feet.
There's a slight chance of rain for Carson City on Thursday and more of a possibility into Friday, according to the weather service.
