Happy Tuesday, Carson City! Summer is here in full force, so get yourself up to Lake Tahoe to escape the heat, or head over to your favorite watering hole for an icy beverage. Swing by Capital Ford this afternoon to get a glance at the Wounded Warrior’s High Five Touring Vehicle and make sure to leave your signature and a message on it, as well.
TUESDAY:
- Reno Rodeo (Ticket prices range from $12 - $27) and Carnival (4pm-12am) at the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center
- One Putt Jr. Academy at Silver Oak Golf Course (7:45am sign in, 8am-10am; $40 per class or $200 for six classes: includes Green Fees, Pull Cart, Golf Clubs, Gatorade; space limited, check availability; ages 7-12)
- Industrial Art at the CCAI Gallery in the Courthouse: 885 E. Musser (8am-5pm)
- ’New Work’ by artist Pasha Rafat at the Nevada Arts Council: 716 N. Carson St. (8am-5pm)
- CCAI Exhibit: BRIC Art 5 at the BRIC: 108 E Proctor Street (8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm)
- Carson City Parks and Recreation Easy Walk: Fairview Multi-Use Path- Meet in the parking area south side of 5th street just east of the round-about (8am-9am)
- Books and Brags at the Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada (9:30am-10:30am; included with admission)
- Silver City Tune Into Kids Fair hosted by United Way at the Town Park: 385 High St., Silver City (9:30am-1pm; ages 3-6 and their parents; space limited, RSVP at quest@theodata.com or call 775-287-7598; bring picnic lunch)
- Summer Art Show at the Nevada Artists Association Gallery in the Brewery Arts Center (10am-4pm)

Get some spring in your step today. There is the Parks and Recreation easy walk in the morning, or the Muscle Powered Conditioning hike in the afternoon. These happen every Tuesday and the location always varies, so you get the chance to explore various trails in our valley. Get your swing on at Eagle Valley Golf Course. It’s Ladies night, so you get some instruction, a few holes, and refreshment. Kids will want to take advantage of the One Putt Jr. classes at Silver Oak Golf Course every Tuesday and Thursday.

- CCAI Exhibit: Tuscarora, by artist Ron Arthaud at the Carson City Community Center’s Sierra Room (available during public meetings and most evenings 5pm-8pm)
- Ladies Night at Bella Fiore Wines (5pm-8pm)
