Wildflower Walks at Spooner Lake State Park in June
LAKE TAHOE, Nev. – Take a leisurely, two-hour walk around Spooner Lake, home to over 100 species of wildflowers. Learn plant names, their uses, habitats and enjoy their beauty. The wildflower portion of this trip is during the first mile.
You are not more than ½ an hour from the trailhead if you need to leave early. Children under the age of 16 and pets should not take this hike. Comfortable clothes, walking shoes or boots and a hat are recommended. Bring water, snacks, sunscreen and insect repellent. This event is limited to 12 participants; you may sign up by phone at 775-749-5980, or at the Spooner Lake Park Entrance Station.

COST: Entry to Spooner Lake State Park is $10 per vehicle, with a $2 discount for Nevada residents.
WHERE: Spooner Lake is located near the intersection of State Route 28 and U.S. Highway 50.
