Celebrity Waiters Make FISH Celebration a Success
FISH, also known as Friends in Service Helping, would like to thank all the celebrity waiters and their guests who made the 2015 Have a Heart Celebration on May 16 a huge success. Community members raised over $30,000 for the human services organization. All of the donations will be used to fund FISH’s programs for the homeless and hungry, including a food bank, a family dining room, two homeless shelters, and a clinic.
“This has become a great annual event where people can interact with the who’s who of our community,” said FISH executive director Jim Peckham. “I thank everyone who was involved—the waiters, attendees, restaurant staff, and FISH volunteers and board members.”
The winners of the “iServe My Community” prize for the most tips collected were Dana Whaley, Cyntha Pennington, and Fr. Chuck Durante. FISH thanks the following celebrity waiters for their participation: Karen Abowd, Gary Ailes, Hellen Barclay, Lori Bagwell, Mike Bennett, Rick Bessette, Jim and Midge Breeden, Patty Caffereta, Barbara Cegavske, Bob Crowell, Dean Dilullo, Dana Fruend, Ken Furlong, Daniel Gonzales, Allison Joffee, Shawn Keating, Ron Knecht, Sandra Koch and Tim McFarren, Brian Krolicki, Stephen Lincoln, Nick Marano, Jan McCauley, Bill McCready, Sister Marie McGloin, PK O’Neill, Mary Pierczynski, Dan Rowe, Tim Rowe, Richard Stokes, Tom Tarulli, Aaron West, and Marena Works.
The organization also thanks their silent auction and raffle donors: Adele’s, Jim and Lori Bagwell, Carson City Toyota Scion, Dunkin Donuts, Eagle Valley Golf, Empire Ranch Golf Course, Glen Eagle’s Restaurant, Kelly Clark Foundation, Ron Knecht, Jan McCauley, Scott Scherer, Silver Oak Golf Course, Starbucks, and Western Nevada College.
The event was made possible by the generosity and hard work of Glen Eagle’s Restaurant management and staff. Additional support was provided by Millard Realty & Construction and High Sierra Business Systems.
