Mary Socorro Bennett born July 27, 1936 in Visalia, Calif, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023 in Carson City, NV. Mary was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and friend. Mary has been part of the Carson City community since the early 1960s.

The Carson High School Boys 5A Varsity Cross Country Team was named 2023 FALL season State Academic Team Champions, by the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association the non-profit governing body of high school athletics in the Silver State. The team will be recognized at the NIAA State Cross Country Championships set for Saturday, Nov. 4, at Rancho San Rafael, in Reno.

When Jenny Haas’ father Gene Anderson began showing signs of dementia, she thought her father was just getting older.

After he received a visit from Adult Protective Services, Jenny’s life was turned upside down as she struggled to find a new home for her father. During his disease, Jenny advocated for Gene’s health and safety until the day he died.
