The Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol division has identified a Carson City man who died in a Jan. 24 crash on I-580 in Washoe County.

At approximately 6:16 p.m., Nevada State Police responded to a reported crash at the location of southbound I-580, north of mile marker 13, in Washoe County, according to a preliminary investigation.

On Wednesday, William “Bill” Kranz, the now-former owner of the Carson Pines Apartment complex, appeared in court and was found to be guilty of contempt of court and fined $500.

The investigation into the Carson City shooting on Jan. 24 is progressing and additional arrests have been made.

Nevada State Police has identified the victim driver in a fatal crash that happened Saturday at the intersection of US-50 and College Parkway in Carson City. The driver suspected of causing the crash was booked for suspicion of felony DUI causing death.

On Tuesday, Carson City’s The Fox Brewery and Pub announced an expansion into Reno, taking up residence at the previous Silver Peak Brewery and Restaurant in Midtown, located at 124 Wonder Street.

Silver Peak closed its doors in 2020 after 21 years in operation and will be given new life with the Fox.

A 37-year-old woman in custody through the Nevada Department of Corrections, was transported to Carson City Jail for a felony warrant court case.
