Our Pet of the Week is Barney! Barney is a lovable 1-year-old boy who came to us as a stray in December of 2023. He is a sweet boy who loves his walks and will let everyone know! He's a bit wary of other dogs and takes some time to get used to them.

On a chilly February morning in 2022, early morning commuters on I-580 through Washoe Valley were met with a horrific sight: a car in the southbound lanes was fully consumed in fire.

When first responders arrived, the situation became far more grisly after it was discovered that the body of a young woman, later to be identified as 23-year-old Anna Marie Scott, was inside of the trunk.

Hello fellow anglers. Welcome to winter, or is it? Our weather has been so crazy lately. A few weeks ago I was plowing snow and last weekend it was 66 degrees while I was fishing Topaz Lake in a tee shirt. But give it time. As we say in Nevada, if you don't like the weather, give it an hour or so.

Good things come in small packages and Autumn, our cat of the week, proves it.
She is a small, medium/long haired black kitten a little over 6 months old. She is a bundle of fun, love and energy. Autumn is very outgoing and makes friends quickly and easily with both cats and people. She has a bold and outgoing personality.
