Deadline nears to submit letters of intent for Carson City Community Support Services grant
Carson City is now accepting letters of intent for the Community Support Services Grant for projects taking place July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025. Special consideration will be given to nonprofits providing mental health services.
Interested applicants can find the letter of intent and budget forms on the Carson City website here. Submission deadline is Feb. 12, 2024.
The Carson City Board of Supervisors established the CSSG to improve citizens’ quality of life. This annual
grant supports 501(c)3 nonprofits serving Carson City’s critical needs: mental health, substance abuse, domestic
abuse, youth, disabled, health/dental, and senior services.

Approximately $169,500 is available. The City typically awards eight to 10 grants ranging from, though not
limited to, $5,000 to $60,000. Applicants deemed eligible will be invited to submit a full application due in March.
Mayor Lori Bagwell states, “This grant program has been supporting many wonderful nonprofits in our
community for a long time now, and I am excited to see the great work that will continue to be done through
these grants.”
