Carson City Moose Lodge 2709 hosts Second Annual Wine Train Event for Charities
On Friday, the Carson City Moose Lodge 2709 hosted their second annual wine train event in Mills Park from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m.
All proceeds from the event benefited Moose charities and community projects. There were a total of three stops along the ride, so riders were able to get off and taste some premium wines and craft beers.
The last few years, the Moose members had put their money and proceeds towards Sutro Tunnel and the local rugby club. Two members of the Moose team said the funds are going to charities specifically for seniors and children.
“We’re always looking for more charities to contribute to, especially seniors and children,” one Moose member at the Fifty Fifty Brewing stop said.
If you weren’t able to partake this go around, don’t worry because more events will be coming.
“We love getting the word out and getting more people out here,” another Moose member said.
The Carson City Moose Lodge 2709 is also hosting another event in mid-September for “Moose dogs and beer” that they hope the community members will join in on.
