The spell Poe weaves brings us a highly theatrical adaptation of four tales Poe himself considered his best: "The Raven," "The Fall of the House of Usher," "The Pit and the Pendulum," and "The Tell-Tale Heart."

2017 Nevada recycled art contest underway

Entrants must be Nevada residents and projects must be composed of used recyclable materials. Submission of an entry form and photos of artwork are due by October 22, 2017.

This event will be held on Wednesday, October 25 from 4-6 PM at the Community Center, Library, and Aquatic Facility. BOO-NANZA is a free, safe, and spooky environment for children to participate in Halloween fun. The first 100 participants will receive a bag to use for trick or treating.

Hundreds of people have come out to enjoy the community atmosphere, as well as the variety that Carson City’s Food Trucks offer. The BAC creates a long table so families and friends can get to know their neighbors as they break bread.
“When you share food with each other, you build trust, you build community and that is one of the things people enjoy about it”, says BAC Production Manager Jeffrey Fast.
