Eyes on Carson City: Levitt AMP goes out with bang of Irish drums
The Young Dubliners and Cíana brought down the house Saturday night on the Minnesota Street Stage at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall parking lot, bringing the 2017 Levitt AMP Carson City Summer Concert Series to a close.
Hundreds jammed the Brewery Arts Center property and even set up chairs across King Street to hear traditional Irish folk music by Cíana, followed by Celtic Rock as only the Young Dubliners could do it.
Sponsored in part by the Mortimer and Mimi Levitt Foundation, Levitt AMP in Carson City was a 10-week long, family-friendly free summer concert series held outdoors on the Brewery Arts Center property.
Besides music, the concert series also featured food truck vendors, a bounce house and community art wall.
Levitt AMP returned to Carson City in 2017 after a successful inaugural season last year.
The Brewery Arts Center is hoping for a third consecutive season in 2018.
"We ask that you remember to vote online in November as we attempt to receive this National award for a third year in a row," BAC Executive Director Gina Lopez Hill said.
More information about the concert series can be found online here on the Levitt AMP Carson City Concert Series web page.
