Economic forum highlights resurgence of the Northern Nevada economy
In its ongoing campaign to educate area real estate agents and community members on the changing economic environment in Northern Nevada, the Reno Tahoe International Council will hold an Economic Forum this Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015.
The event be at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., providing networking opportunities and presentations addressing the impact of a global economic presence, economic advantages and cultural understanding. Topics will highlight area economic development, the impact of business on Northern Nevada and the local housing industry, and growing business through foreign capital investment.
The event has drawn astonishing attention and SOLD OUT prior to the event. More than 170 real estate agents, community members and presenters are expected to attend. Forum presenters include:

Presenter, Lynn Beteag, Administrator for the Nevada State EB-5 Regional Center, is expected to highlight the advantages of accessing foreign capital through the EB-5 Program. The Regional Center is located in Carson City, Nevada and works to bring together both new and expanding companies/project developers with foreign capital investors to create local jobs. Advantages to qualifying as an EB-5 project are numerous such as: capital investment, flexible and favorable terms, direct access to the international market, and no long term loss of equity.
The benefit of the EB-5 program to the foreign investor is they may obtain legal entry through the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) program.

Attracting foreign investors and business will act to solidify the viability of Northern Nevada in the global market.” In addition to her involvement in RTIC, Ms. Temen, is the National Association of REALTORS ® President’s Liaison to Romania, and a local real estate professional.
In 2013, Jeni Temen and local real estate professionals formed the Tahoe Reno International Council. Their mission is to raise global awareness of Northern Nevada as a desirable economic, real estate, and world-class recreation destination.
