Carson Tahoe Wound Healing Center expands, adds hyperbaric oxygen chamber

More than 8 million people in the U.S. suffer from non-healing wounds, which are often impeded by such diseases and conditions as diabetes, obesity, aging and the late effects of radiation therapy.

The newly expanded Carson Tahoe Center for Wound Healing is located on the second floor of the Carson Tahoe Specialty Medical Center at 775 Fleischmann Dr. in Carson City. The center now provides the latest advanced treatments to help these patients heal and with a faster recovery times.

These state-of-the-art treatments and protocols to treat chronic wounds include hyperbaric oxygen therapy, negative pressure therapies, bioengineered tissues and biosynthetics. Patients may also have the opportunity for advanced treatments by participating in clinical trials and multi-center studies.
