Comedy Showcase with Nick Josten at the Brewery Arts Center
Come out and enjoy an evening with some of Northern Nevada’s best stand-up comics! Wild Horse Productions is hosting a Stand-Up Comedy Showcase on Saturday, April 2nd at 8 pm (doors open at 7:30) at the Brewery Arts Center Maizie Jesse Harris Black Box Theatre located at 449 W. King St. Carson City, NV 89703. Tickets are only $5 at the door with open seating and a cash bar. For more information please contact Nick Josten at 775-450-4772.
Nick Josten, a CHS 2002 graduate who has a long history with the BAC and local theatre, is headlining the show. Josten’s first full-length play, The Town Without Syntax, was hosted by the BAC in 2005 followed by a night of one act plays in 2006. Now Nick is back with his unique perspective on topics ranging from Earl Grey tea and ostrich racing to unmotivated workouts and baby hippos, with a special appearance from Gordon Lightvoice, a singer-songwriter from Calgary, Alberta.
Josten has appeared as a regular comedian at Pioneer Underground in Reno for the past two years. James Fleming is the feature comedian. James has appeared across the country and regularly tours around the western states. He’s the host of The Waterfall Comedy Open Mic every Sundays in Reno. Joseph Paslov is opening the show. Joseph is a local favorite of the theatre community and has appeared at the Carson Nugget’s comedy club and at Pioneer Underground in Reno.
