Injured teen rescued in Ash Canyon by Carson City firefighters with help from RAVEN helicopter
UPDATE 2:50PM: A teen who crashed his mountain bike in Ash Canyon late Saturday morning was lifted out of the canyon by a Washoe County Sheriff's RAVEN helicopter and then transferred to a Care Flight air ambulance after being rescued by Carson City firefighters.
The juvenile suffered injuries to the abdomen area, according to CCFD Battalion Chief Micah Horton. Their condition is unknown at this time but at the time of the incident call, the teen was communicating with 911 dispatchers and was alert when located.

Carson City Fire Department responded late Saturday morning for an injured mountain bike rider on Ash Canyon Trail.
Emergency crews were directed to the injured juvenile male at around 11:33 a.m. The juvenile was alert and conscious after suffered injuries to the abdomen area.
The injured male had alerted mountain bikers on the trail of his injuries and called 911 dispatch.
A RAVEN (Regional Aviation Enforcement Unit) helicopter helped with getting the patient lifted from where he was at in the canyon where a Care Flight air ambulance awaited.
