CARSON CITY — Battle Born Hall, the museum exhibit inside the old Senate chambers on the second floor of the Nevada State Capitol, is closing its doors Nov. 1 for a major renovation.

A 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday, 5:38 a.m. in the area of Goni and Old Hot Springs Road for misdemeanor suspicion of DUI and obstructing an officer, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Team arrested a man Friday who had four outstanding felony warrants including one for burglary, a sheriff’s deputy said.

UPDATE FRIDAY: The Carson City District Attorney’s Office, in its criminal complaint, argues the victim was repeatedly sexually abused from the ages of 10 to 12, when the suspect was between the ages 16 to 18 years of age.

A 23-year-old man was booked into jail Wednesday on two felony counts suspicion of sexual assault of a child under the age of 14, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

A Carson City man was arrested early Thursday morning in the 2200 block of East William Street for felony suspicion of parole and probation violation, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Yesterday, I checked into an AirBnb in downtown El Paso. My lovely friends in San Diego had put me up the night before. We watched a movie called Sicario, a flick about Mexican drug cartels.
