Carson City sheriff’s deputies make domestic battery, DUI arrests
A 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday, 5:38 a.m. in the area of Goni and Old Hot Springs Road for misdemeanor suspicion of DUI and obstructing an officer, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, deputies were called to the parking lot of a casino for a report of a man passed out inside a vehicle. Officers arrived and found the vehicle with a flat tire, cracked windshield and a large amount of fluid underneath the car.
Deputies attempted to wake up the man who was sitting in the driver’s seat, with the vehicle keys in his hand. Dispatch advised the man is known to attack and obstruct officers.
Deputies attempted to wake the man, who told them “f*ck the po-po,” the arrest report states. He was asked what happened to the vehicle. The suspect refused to provide any information.
Deputies ordered the man out of the vehicle several times without any response. Deputies removed him from the vehicle and placed handcuffs on him. He was physically helped to a patrol car because he could not maintain his balance, the arrest report states.
He refused to submit to preliminary breath tests. He was told that if he refused evidentiary tests his license would be revoked through Nevada DMV.
Because the man refused evidentiary tests, deputies contacted a judge for a warrant for blood draws. The suspect was taken to the hospital for medical clearance and the blood draws were done. He faces misdemeanor charges of DUI and obstructing. Bail: $1,774.
