Heading into Monday, July 15, 2019 the Carson City region is looking at sunny skies, breezy conditions and a slight cooling trend over the next couple days, according to the National Weather Service. In the meantime, it looks to be another fine day in the capital city. Ahead there's a youth mountain bike camp, a presentation by an AARP lobbyist, art showings and more.

We're looking at plenty of sunshine, warm temperatures and an extraordinary musical lineup today at Eagle Valley Golf Course in Carson City for the 11th annual Concert Under the Stars benefit for The Greenhouse Project. The Carson City Fair is returning for its third year this month, and it’s bringing big changes and several new events to its roster including a demolition derby, American Ninja Farmer contests, jello eating contests, animal auctions, and more.

Heading into Monday, July 8, 2019 we want to give a big shout out to all the local organizations and agencies that made this Fourth of July weekend around the Carson City region one to remember. For Monday we're looking at a number of events including a basketball camp at the MAC, a children's theater camp, a local talk with the Carson City Airport manager, art activities, line dancing and more.

As we go forward and move ahead into Tuesday, July 2, 2019 we're looking at another sunny day, all the better as we prepare to celebrate Independence Day. Are you ready for July 4 fireworks at Mills Park? As a Tuesday warmup, get the heart pumping during Muscle Powered's three fitness outings. Plus there's art showings, hands-on science activities in Silver City, an evening archery shoot, a viewing of the 1953 film "From Here to Eternity" at the Brewery Arts Center hosted by the Carson City Classic Cinema Club and more. Heading into Monday, the first day of July 2019 we leave an action-packed weekend behind us with a long Independence Day holiday week ahead. In a last minute announcement, Carson City based non-profit Food For Thought, Inc. will continue the Summer Lunch Program during the 2019 season. The program provides free and nutritious lunches to all children under 18.
