Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called to a two-vehicle crash Monday evening in the 1100 block of Fairview.
The crash was reported to dispatch at 6:08 p.m. Traffic is being diverted around the scene, which is in the eastbound lane.

UPDATE 12:34AM: A third Care Flight helicopter, which was coming from Fallon, has been canceled. The critically injured patient will be taken by ambulance to Renown Medical Center in Reno. Two helicopters are on the way.

Carson City Fire Department was called at around 5:12 p.m. for a report of a brush fire. Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch reports one call was made and that it had dispatched Carson City Fire Department.

A person of interest came forward Thursday in the alleged illegal attempted traffic stop that happened Wednesday on southbound I-580 in the area of Mt. Rose Highway, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

NHP has contacted and thoroughly interviewed a person of interest in the incident that occurred Wednesday, said Trooper Duncan Dauber.

On Wednesday, August 3 at approximately 10:30 a.m. Nevada Highway Patrol troopers were dispatched to the area of I-580 southbound and Mt. Rose Highway. Department of Public Safety’s dispatch received a phone call from a concerned motorist traveling southbound on I-580 that behind them was an unmarked pickup attempting to pull them over.

UPDATE 407PM: A Nevada Highway Patrol trooper reports that the incident on Highway 50 eastbound lane near Spooner junction involved a female motorcycle passenger who fell off the back of a motorcycle. She suffered back injuries and was taken via ambulance.
