Carson City emergency crews called to vehicle crash at Highway 50 East near Dairy Queen
Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies responded Friday afternoon to a two-vehicle crash with injuries in the 3200 block of Highway 50 East across from Dairy Queen. The crash was reported at 3:05 p.m. and involves a white SUV and a silver Honda, according to dispatch.
At least one of the vehicles had airbag deployment in the rear-end crash. At least one person was injured and will be taken by ground ambulance to the hospital, according to the Carson City Fire Department incident commander.
The accident is blocking the westbound lane of the highway. Motorists can expect brief delays. Traffic is being re-directed around the crash scene. The Nevada Highway Patrol was also responding.
