This self-guided tour showcases four of Incline’s most unique and beautiful properties, including a home and garden with a magically eclectic art collection, a stunning contemporary home with “a river running through it,” the North Lake Tahoe Demonstration Garden, which fosters mountain gardening and the extraordinary home of a talented painter, sculptor and print maker.

State Route 28 shared use construction at Lake Tahoe begins Monday

10th Annual Silver State Vertical Drop Ski Competition Fundraiser
Submitted by Carson Now Reader on Mon, 03/12/2018 - 11:44amThe Silver State Vertical Drop is an annual ski competition and community fundraising event put on by the Silver State Hotshots, a Carson City-based wildfire suppression crew.
Individuals or teams of 3-5 compete to safely ski as much vertical feet as possible in a 4-hour time period—the team with the highest average vertical feet skied wins. There are individual prizes for males and females who finish in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, and a team prize for 1st place. In the past, these prizes have been donated to us from companies such as Moment Skis, Patagonia, and Smith Optics.

Proceeds from the campaign, “You’ve Been Givted,” went to four local charities: Awaken Reno, a human trafficking awareness organization; PetNetwork, a Tahoe-based animal shelter; Families for Early Autism Treatment (FEAT), a local grassroots effort; and the Reno-Tahoe area Meals on Wheels organization.
