Carson City Sheriff's arrest log: Woman jailed after meth found in breath mint tin
A Dayton woman was arrested early Saturday morning for suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said, after methamphetamine was found concealed in an Altoids breath mint tin.
Ashlee Reanne Overturf, 28, was taken into custody at 2:14 a.m. in the 2200 block of East William Street by the Sheriff's Office after law enforcement had been called to a gaming business on report of an intoxicated person, the report said.
Overturf and a friend were being questioned by officers when they were asked for consent to search their belongings. Both subjects gave consent, the report said, and a deputy later found a white, crystalline substance located at the bottom of an Altoids breath mint tin inside Overturf's wallet.
The substance was field tested and returned presumptive positive for meth, the report said.
Overturf was handcuffed at that point for possession and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $2,500.
