Woman injured in pedestrian crash at Stateline
A woman was injured in a pedestrian accident that happened Thursday afternoon in Stateline at Lake Tahoe, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
The victim, Madeleine Cass, was found underneath a Toyota pickup driven by Charles Scholfield, when deputies arrived at the scene, in the area of Ponderosa Drive, said DCSO Sgt. Pat Brooks.
When deputies arrived they found Madeleine Cass under a Toyota Pickup driven by Charles Schofield. Details of the investigation are that Cass was walking her dog. Schofield’s attention was drawn as he was wiping fog from the inner windshield as he was travelling at a speed of approximately 5 miles per hour. Schofield stopped his vehicle when he heard he had struck something in the middle of the road. When he exited his vehicle he found Cass under his vehicle.
Cass was taken to Barton Hospital with unspecified injuries and her condition is unknown, said Brooks.
