Carson City arrests: Man jailed for alleged drug sales and possession

A 35-year-old man was arrested Friday for multiple alleged felony drug offenses, according to the Carson City Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Team.
Bryan Dwight Wilson was taken into custody at 8:40 p.m. He was arrested for suspicion of sales of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, possession of more than 1 ounce of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance (THC concentrate more than 1/8 an ounce) and misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence.
According to the booking report, a Special Enforcement Team deputy was traveling northbound on Carson Street and observed a vehicle license plate with the light not functioning. The officer turned around to stop the vehicle, when the driver of the vehicle abruptly stopped at a gas station. The right front passenger then quickly exited the vehicle and started walking northbound.
The deputy stopped behind them with their emergency light activate and told the female to return to the vehicle, which she did.
The officer then spoke with the driver, and the rear left passenger, Bryan Wilson. The officer could smell an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The officer inquired about the presence of marijuana. Wilson admitted he had some in the vehicle, the arrest report states.
Deputies conducted a record check and learned Wilson had a warrant issued for his arrest through the Department of Alternative Sentencing. While awaiting confirmation, the officer asked Wilson about possession of marijuana. He admitted it was located int he vehicle. The officer searched a black bag, which contained cards bearing his name, the report states.
The bag contained marijuana in a mason jar and several small baggies of bud marijuana. They were packaged in different weights, which are common for drug sales. There was also approximately 90 grams of marijuana butter (a THC concentrate edible product) and hash oil in another smaller container. Wilson appeared to have a variety of cannabis products, packaged in a manner consistent with sales, the report states.
The Department of Alternative Sentencing warrant was confirmed and DAS wanted him arrested for the warrant. The deputy placed Wilson in custody and informed him of his Miranda rights, which he stated he understood.
He stated that he was selling marijuana to people to sustain his income, the report said. The officer asked him if there would be messages on his cellular phone related to drug sales. He admitted there likely would be but denied consent to search. Bail: $10,000 and $3,000 cash for the warrant.
In other arrests:
— A 28-year-old man was arrested Sunday for suspicion of hit and run, reckless driving and failing to report an accident among other misdemeanor offenses, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
The driver was taken into custody at 10:27 p.m. He was also arrested for suspicion of obstructing, driving with a revoked license and driving without a valid license.
According to the booking report, an off-duty officer advised that a suspect vehicle struck another vehicle in the area of Silver Sage and Sonoma. The officer also advised the suspect vehicle ran a red light at South Roop and Colorado, and that the vehicle pulled into a driveway of a building on South Roop.
The off-duty officer circled the building, and advised the vehicle was gone but all the lights were on in the building, the report states.
Deputies were dispatched to the area and to the area of Silver Sage and Sonoma as the victim of the hit and run called into dispatch and advised the suspect vehicle was a dark colored four-door BMW sedan. The victim stated the suspect vehicle swerved all over the road prior to the crash, the report states.
A deputy went directly to the building to make contact with the suspect, knocking on the exterior of the building. A small crack in the garage door of the building revealed a damaged BMW sedan and a fresh fluid trail that led from the area of Fairview Drive to the garage on South Roop Street.
A deputy contacted the on-call district attorney and requested a search warrant. A Carson City judge granted the warrant of the suspect vehicle and the driver of the vehicle. The key holder of the building advised he knew his brother was inside and was the only one inside. The key holder opened the door and retrieved the man, who was the sole occupant inside the building, the report states.
The suspect advised he would voluntarily and freely participate in field sobriety tests. The man did not show signs of impairment during the field sobriety tests. Deputies learned the man's license was revoked for DUI and that he had multiple records of failure to appear, the arrest report states. He was taken into custody. Total bail amount listed: $2,982.
— A 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested Oct. 18 for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued Sept. 21, 2021 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $500 cash.
— A 21-year-old Fernley man was arrested Oct. 16, 4:03 a.m. for a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant issued out of New River Township. Bail: $1,245.
— A 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested Oct. 17 for a misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence warrant issued Oct. 13, 2021 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000 cash.
— A 24-year-old Carson City man was arrested Oct. 15 for suspicion of petit larceny. According to the booking report, the man took a shot container of alcohol and left a store without paying. Bail: $352.
