Gaming revenue in January climbs at Carson City, Reno and Lake Tahoe casinos
Casinos in Carson City, Minden, Gardnerville and all other areas of Douglas County except for South Lake Tahoe saw a gaming "win" of $10,390,593 for the month, up 2.73 percent from January 2023, the Nevada Gaming Control Board reports.
Meanwhile, casinos in Reno saw a 55 percent increase in January over January 2023 figures, taking in $65,381,903.
Elsewhere, casinos saw a "gaming win" increase of 4.8 percent at south shore Lake Tahoe and 13.83 percent at north shore Lake Tahoe.
Statewide, Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $1,279,418,577 for the month of January 2024. This amounts to a 0.51 percent increase compared to January 2023, when licensees reported a gaming win of $1,272,953,912. For the fiscal year (July 1, 2023 through January 31, 2024), gaming win has increased 4.77 percent.
