Carson City School District, Western Nevada College on 2-hour weather delay Monday
All Carson City School District schools will observe a delayed 2-hour schedule Monday, March 4, 2024. Buses will also operate on a 2-hour delay, so arrival times will be approximately 2-hours later than usual. There will be no Pre-School classes or breakfast served at school.
Employees are to report to work at least 15 minutes before, but not more than 30 minutes before student instruction begins and as specified in their regular assignment to allow time to prepare safe parking lots and walkways. They should take caution and plan 2-times their normal travel time depending on driving conditions.

Also, due to icy road conditions, Western Nevada College’s Carson City campus will operate on a two-hour delay and open at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 4.

Also, University of Nevada, Reno will be on delayed start for Monday, March 4.
Following an assessment of the anticipated overnight weather and road conditions around the University of Nevada, Reno campus, a decision has been made to delay the start of nonessential campus operations (campus operations refers to any work performed at the main University campus, office, property, field work or sponsored events in Reno) until 10 a.m. Monday, March 4.
Web classes and remote operations will continue as scheduled. All in-person classes before 10 a.m. are canceled.
The Redfield campus, Building A at 18600 Wedge Pkwy., is also on a delay and will open at 10 a.m. The University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe’s Wayne L. Prim Campus has suspended in-person classes and nonessential operations Monday.
