Carson High Crowns 2021 Homecoming King and Queen

Carson High School (CHS) crowned Parsa Hadjighasemi and Caydee Farnworth as the 2021 Homecoming King and Queen. A short coronation ceremony was held on the football field during halftime of Friday’s matchup against the McQueen High School Lancers.

Candidates making up the Queen’s Homecoming Court included (alphabetically by last name) Alyssa Birri, Talia Diez, Caydee Farnworth, Angelica Germain-Sanchez, Shannen Vonduering and Katlynn Wing.

Candidates making up the King’s Homecoming Court included (alphabetically by last name) Luis Barajas, Hayden Breiter, Dillon Damico, Clinton Dewitt, Parsa Hadjighasemi and Collin Hutson.

Prior to the start of the football game, the school hosted a Homecoming Parade were all the candidates were recognized. Additionally, all student athletes from CHS’s Fall, Winter and Spring Sports were honored during the parade. The CHS student body voted for the winners after the homecoming court was announced at the Homecoming Assembly at CHS last Friday, Sept. 17.

Parsa Hadjighasemi and Caydee Farnworth were honored with their parents Ashley and Fraser Hadjighasemi and Carla and Cody Farnworth respectively.

The Legislature has increased the amount of funding available to help Nevadans earn a college education. More than $400,000 is available to individuals attending WNC through the Silver State Opportunity Grant and other programs.

The U.S. Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit (LTBMU) will continue a project to eradicate, control, and contain known infestations of invasive plants in the Lake Tahoe Basin using chemical treatment. Work will take place at approximately 90 infestations sites (18.25 acres) beginning in mid-July and continuing through September 2017.
