Flavorful Carson City weekend ahead with Honor Flight Nevada Regional Chili Cookoff, Craft Fair
A July favorite with a dash of all the right spices arrives in Carson City this weekend when Honor Flight Nevada hosts its annual High Sierra and Nevada Capitol Regional Chili Cook Off at Glen Eagles Restaurant this Saturday and Sunday, from 11 a.m- 5 p.m.
The winner of the chili cook offs and the winner of the salsa competition continue on to the National Cook Off. People's Choice Chili competition is open to enter for free and is judged by all in attendance. Being rewarded with a Trophy and bragging rights to the winner.
There are $3 chili tasting kits, competitions, raffle prizes, craft fair, live music, and military vehicles are some of the highlighted activities and items during the event. Along with cool summer kicks all under the shady trees, making for an action packed weekend in Carson City.
All proceeds from this event will benefit Honor Flight NV, which help raise money to send WWII, Korean, and Vietnam Veterans back to Washington, D.C. to see the memorials built in their name and paid for by their service to our country.
