Carson City woman arrested for DUI after 'tumbling' to her vehicle following restaurant meal

A 58-year-old Carson City woman was arrested for DUI first after allegedly attempting to drive away from a local restaurant after “tumbling” to her vehicle.

According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched to the parking lot of a local restaurant on a report of a woman who has “tumbled” to her vehicle and attempted to drive out of her parking space.

Deputies arrived on scene approximately ten minutes later and saw the woman standing at her vehicle. Speaking with the woman, deputies noted they could smell an alcoholic odor emitting from her person.

Deputies initiated field sobriety tests, during which the woman exhibited multiple indications of impairment, including the inability to stand without swaying.

While talking to the woman, she stated she had consumed one to two glasses of wine with her dinner, and her last drink had been thirty minutes prior. She stated she had eaten a salad for dinner.

During the field sobriety tests, the woman allegedly told deputies “I can’t do that (sobriety test) normally.”

Deputies conducted a preliminary breath test, which resulted in a 0.182 BAC.

Following the test the woman stated, “My life is f***** now.”

Deputies took the woman into custody where she was transferred to the Carson City Jail to have her blood drawn.

Bail: $1,137

— In other arrests, a 59-year-old Carson City woman was arrested in the 3200 block of Market Street for Petit Larceny, with a bail amount of $352.
