Carson City arrests: Man tells 911 dispatch deputies stole his vehicle after it was impounded

A 58-year-old man was arrested July 16 for suspicion of unlawful use of an emergency number, a gross misdemeanor offense, after reporting his vehicle stolen to Carson City 911 dispatch after it had been impounded by sheriff's deputies due to multiple traffic violations.
According to the booking report, the South Lake Tahoe man called 911 to report that his vehicle was being stolen by Carson City Sheriff's Office deputies.
At approximately 3:52 a.m. he was the only occupant in a vehicle that was stopped for traffic violations. The vehicle was impounded due to multiple traffic violations. The man was issued a citation and released from the scene. He then called 911 and told a dispatcher that his vehicle was being stolen and became irate with the dispatcher, according to the arrest report.
After the officer completed the impound, he searched the immediate area and located the man in the bushes in the 3000 block of North Carson Street. He was arrested for suspicion of unlawful use of an emergency number. Bail: $2,500.
In other arrests:
— A 36-year-old Carson City Jail inmate was booked July 18 for suspicion of felony battery on a prisoner, according to a Carson City sheriff's office report.
Kyle Robert Wilson is suspected to have started an altercation with a fellow inmate in which he is seen on video surveillance footage chest bumping and then punching the inmate.
When a Carson City Sheriff's jail deputy observed the victim having blood on his clothing and a small gash above his right eye, he asked him what happened. The victim replied that he tripped and fell inside his cell, the report states. Bail: $20,000.
— A 23-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Sunday, July 18, 12:15 a.m. for misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence. Bail: $1,000.
— A 26-year-old Carson City man was arrested July 17 for suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery.
According to the booking report deputies responded to a South Curry Street residence for a domestic dispute.
Deputies observed the victim's left orbital area around her eye was swollen and that there was redness and bruising on the right side of her neck.
Officers spoke with the suspect who stated he pushed the victim at some point the night prior. Officers observed the suspect had scratches on his right torso and redness on his knuckles. He did not mention that he was injured by the victim during the interview, according to the report.
During the course of the investigation, deputies determined the man was the primary aggressor and that the scratches on his torso appeared to be "defensive scratches." He was arrested for suspicion of domestic battery. Bail: $3,137.
