Carson City Sheriff's arrest log: Man in bathroom arrested for trespassing
A 36 year-old transient male was arrested early Saturday morning at 12:27 a.m. in the 1800 block of North Carson Street for misdemeanor trespassing, a Carson City Sheriff's deputy said.
According to the report, law enforcement was dispatched to the location on report of an active intrusion alarm.
Deputies observed no signs of forced entry and gained entrance to the building via an unlocked door.
They made a verbal announcement identifying themselves as law enforcement and asking any occupant to make themselves known to them, the report said.
A building search then ensued, and a male subject was found on the second floor inside a men's bathroom.
The suspect had been sitting inside of a bathroom stall with his feet raised, the report said, trying to conceal himself.
He was called out of the bathroom at gunpoint and then detained by deputies.
When asked what he was doing inside the building, the suspect reported he had entered it to use the bathroom and then fell asleep while inside.
He was handcuffed and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $150.
