Truck of slain Nevada insurance examiner found in Douglas County
Carson City authorities say the missing truck of William McCune, the Nevada insurance examiner whose body was found Saturday in the Carson River, has been recovered. Four are in custody facing murder charges.
The truck was recovered Monday in Douglas County and has been taken to the Carson City Sheriff's Office for any evidence it may contain, said Undersheriff Steve Albertsen. The Record-Courier reports the maroon Dodge Dakota truck was found near Holbrook Junction.
The Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office on Monday positively identified McCune, 62, through dental and medical x-rays, Albertsen said.
The suspects are Michael Paul Evans, 23, who was found in Carson City early Saturday morning. Three others were arrested in Las Vegas. They are Anthony Elliott, 20; Makyla L. Blackmore, 20 and Raul Garcia, 22. Residential robbery is believed to be the motive,
It is still unknown when the three suspects that were arrested in Las Vegas will be returned to Carson City.
