Protecting Yourself from Fraud is focus of April 5 Kiwanis Club of Dayton Township meeting
Kiwanis Club of Dayton Township hosts its monthly meeting, Wednesday, April 5, at 6:30 p.m. at Dayton Senior Center, 320 Old Dayton Valley Road.
Guest speaker Jamie Griffitts, manager of Wells Fargo Dayton Plaza branch, will lead a discussion, “Protecting Yourself from Fraud,” addressing issues of identity theft, fraudulent credit card use and hacking, and how to guard against theft of personal information, credit and identity theft.
Griffitts has been with Wells Fargo for eight years, working her way up from teller to her current role. She has been a business specialist, Wells Fargo at Work proponent and Hands on Banking proponent. Hands on Banking includes teaching communities – from young people to seniors - about budgeting, credit, and identity theft.
“Wells Fargo,” Griffits said, “has a passion to reach out to its communities and teach them basic essentials of banking.”
She looks forward to leading the discussion, and hopes to see everyone there.
A big thanks the community for its outstanding support of the 27th annual Casino Night, conducted March 18. Thanks to this support more than $2,200 was raised for our scholarship and community service programs.
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. For more information, please call me at 775-301-6034 or join us as guests for our monthly meeting, the first Wednesday of each month and enjoy potluck dinner prepared by our members. Bringing a hearty appetite is recommended.
