Nevada Raider Nation, Carson City Chapter will host a Las Vegas Raiders game watch at 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 7 at Jimmy G's in Carson City.

The Chapter will have a 50/50 cash drawing this weekend; tickets are $1 each. Those attending are asked to bring a side dish or snack to share. Jimmy G's offers discounts to Chapter members on drinks.

Memberships are still being accepted and are $25 per person.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region. Western Nevada College will host a memorial exhibit and informational presentation on the 9-11 attacks on Friday. Partnership Carson City will team up for a statewide suicide prevention virtual walk this Saturday. Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days. The monthly Downtown Carson City Wine Walk takes place Saturday followed by a performance from Tom Petty and Rod Stewart tribute bands during The Do Drop In’s “A Face in the Crowd” homeless fundraiser at Fuji Park. St. Teresa School will host its 17th annual Crab Feed Fundraiser. Combined with comedy at the Carson Nugget and Brewery Arts Center, the Carson City region is in store for a busy weekend. JoAnn was born on December 17, 1936 to Florence Brazonavich and John Nevers Sr in Carson City, NV. JoAnn unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 17, 2020.

Services will be held on Saturday February 29, 2020 at 11:00 at the Carson Colony Gym, 2900 South Curry Street, Carson City, NV 89703.

Viewing will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am before the services. Burial will be at the Stewart Cemetery after services. Fellowship and potluck will follow back at the Carson Colony Gym. Everyone is welcomed. Flowers or food donations is appreciated.

Tribal members, conservationists and students, bundled up in thick coats and beanies, gathered in two rows fanning out from transport trailers to watch the release into tribal land, an area usually closed to the public. Bighorn sheep, separated into two trailers, rushed out in waves.

Heading into last day of 2019, we're looking at partly sunny skies with a high around 50 and low around 30. Activities around the capital city region are lined up through the day and evening. As we head into the final Monday of 2019, we're looking at a slight chance of light snow in the morning as a weak weather system brushes the region. Heading into the weekend, post-Christmas holiday activities continue around the Carson City region over the next three days. Events include a Christmas Through the Years presentation at the Carson Valley Community Theater, Open Mic Night at A to Zen Gift Shop, musicians Lauren Kepler and Dan Cypher at Bella Vita Bistro, laughs at the Carson Comedy Club and much more!

Heading into Christmas Eve, activities around the capital city are winding down, but the last minute shopping will continue, so prepare for that rush on the roadways and at local stores. It is the last day of the Holiday Craft Show at Carson Mall, so stop on by. There are no planned Muscle Powered fitness events scheduled. Sunday will be the Raiders last home game in the Oakland Coliseum. Join other die-hard Raiders fans as we bid farewell to what has been the heart of our, Oakland Raiders.

The club will have a potluck with chili, chips and more. Those attending are encouraged to bring a side dish to share, or donate to the cost of the food.

Nevada Raider Nation, Carson City Chapter will host an Oakland Raiders game watch Sunday, Dec. 8 at 1:25 p.m. at Jimmy G's, 301 North Carson Street, in Carson City.

The Oakland Raiders take on the Tennessee Titans for a still-small chance of taking a wildcard spot for the AFC playoffs.

Membership to the Chapter is $20 per person. Jimmy G's will offer drink specials to Chapter members; a potluck with delicious food will be available for a small donation.
