Carson City Symphony, Carson Chamber Singers begin rehearsals for annual Holiday Treat Concert
Attention instrumental musicians and singers! The Carson City Symphony, directed by David Bugli, and the Carson Chamber Singers, directed by Gary Schwartz, are beginning rehearsals this week for the 41st annual Holiday Treat Concert. The concert will be on Sunday, Dec. 15, at the Carson City Community Center.
Carson City Symphony rehearses on Wednesdays, beginning Oct. 30, from 6:20 to 8:30 p.m., at the Carson High School band/orchestra room, 1111 N. Saliman Road in Carson City. The Symphony is open to string players at any time without audition, and to other instrumentalists when positions are available. Current openings are for strings, oboe, clarinet, trumpet, and French horn. Musicians who are interested in joining should contact the Symphony at 775-883-4154 or email carsoncitysymphony@gmail.com.
Carson Chamber Singers rehearse on Tuesdays, beginning Oct. 29, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the LDS Church, 411 N. Saliman Road in Carson City. The ensemble is open to singers high-school age and above. To join, contact the director at ccsingersnv@gmail.com.
