Preliminary information indicates on February 23, 2022, at around 8:15 am, School Resource Officers with the Carson City Sheriff’s Office assigned to the Carson City High School were notified of a student on campus with a firearm. The 14-year-old male was quickly disarmed and taken into custody. An investigation revealed that the student in question had pointed the firearm at others; however, the gun was never discharged.
