Just before 6 p.m. on Friday a crash was reported near Curry and Koontz involving a motorcycle and a vehicle.

The motorcyclist was reported to have severe road rash but was conscious.

Deputies are shutting down southbound Curry while first responders investigate the scene.

Not Quite Ready for Carnegie Hall Players (NQR) is a program of the Carson City Symphony Association for adults who recently began to play — or returned to playing — string instruments. Weekly sessions are on Thursday mornings beginning Sept. 1, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., at the Carson City Senior Center, 911 Beverly Drive.
