Carson City Chamber partners with USAF Band to bring free concert to Carson City
Submitted by editor on Tue, 07/12/2016 - 1:10pmBack by popular demand, the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West will be bringing their full concert band to the Bob Boldrick Theater at the Carson City Community Center on August 16 for a 7 p.m. show.
This year, the performance will coincide with and be a part of the annual Carson City Jazz & Beyond Carson City Music Festival that begins on August 5.
It's Your City: Sassabration to celebrate diversity, community and unity this Saturday

The event features food, friendship, entertainment, vendors, a bicycle parade and free swimming at The Carson Hot Springs. The festival is a celebration of unity, diversity and community. See the video below.

Performed by the Canadian violinist Catherine Manoukian the concerto is a marathon for both soloist and orchestra. The concert is rounded out by an early symphony of the Czech composer Antonin Dvorak considered heavily influenced by the German Richard Wagner. TACH performs "Music of India" in Washoe County District Schools & Libraries from last couple of years through Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts. This organization works for community service in the field of music and in continuation TACH is presenting it's event on July 17th, 2016.

Jim Clark is a veteran of more than 250 films, an engineer and a train coordinator. Known as "The Train Man," Clark will give a short history of trains in the movies and explain the technical aspects of working with trains.

“You’ll get a chance to be tattooed by someone you otherwise may not even know,” said Jeffery Williford, co-owner of the Ruby Lantern, which is sponsoring the expo. “Some of these guys have a waiting list of two to three weeks out. You have a better chance of actually seeing them here.”
