'Trains in the Movies' with speaker Jim Clark featured July 9 at Dangberg Historic Park
Speaker Jim Clark will present his program, “Trains in the Movies”, in a free presentation at the Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park on Saturday, July 9, at 10:00 am.
Jim Clark is a veteran of more than 250 films, an engineer and a train coordinator. Known as "The Train Man," Clark will give a short history of trains in the movies and explain the technical aspects of working with trains.
Clark is associated with some of the biggest films with trains and their Hollywood stars. Some of the films include "The Lone Ranger", "Wild, Wild, West", "Under Siege Two", "Fast and the Furious", "Water for Elephants" and "Into the West". The presentation will include film clips of two dozen action sequences.
Alpen Sierra Coffee Company is providing complimentary coffee and 88 Cups & More is providing baked treats for visitors throughout the series.
The park is located at 1450 Hwy 88m ¼ mile north of the Carson Valley Veterinary Hospital. This is an outdoor event, and visitors should bring their own seating. Dogs are not permitted at this event. For more information, visit dangberghomeranch.org.
