Historic Fourth Ward School Museum fundraising event features tour of historic textile facility
Take a private tour of the rarely seen clothing and textile collection at the Nevada State Museum’s Marjorie Russell Clothing and Textile Research Center in Carson City and help raise money for the Historic Fourth Ward School Museum in Virginia City.
The curator will lead you through this fascinating collection, focusing on Nevada and the Great Basin. Significant artifacts include Nevada’s First Ladies Inaugural Ball gowns, entertainment costumes, wedding attire, every day and formal wear, military, religious, railroad and fraternal garments.
After the tour you will enjoy lunch at Glen Eagles Restaurant just a short drive away.
Space is limited and advanced reservation is required. The event is July 27 at 10 a.m.
Price per person: Fourth Ward School Members $50.00, Non-Members $65.
