A 27-year-old Carson City man identified as the person who allegedly robbed a Carson City convenience store early Thursday morning then jumped into a patrol car, crashing it and another police vehicle has been arrested on suspicion of multiple felony sexual assault and child pornography charges, Carson City Sheriff Ken Furlong said.

Two were arrested Monday at a Sundridge home south of Carson City after a domestic battery in which a woman allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the hand, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.

A 35-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday at a Highway 50 East convenience store on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery after allegedly fighting with his father-in-law, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

A 46-year-old Silver Springs man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of heroin and methamphetamine possession and other charges after eluding an officer and allegedly holding a baggy of drugs in his mouth, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

More than 15 people gathered Saturday morning in the Bully's parking lot off West College Parkway, braving overcast skies and a crisp spring chill to participate in the Sexual Assault Awareness Walk hosted by the Associated Students of Western Nevada.

The changing of the monthly guard is happening. The first of May is Sunday and Mother’s Day is just around the corner. Music, theater, sports, shopping and more will be abundant in the valley this weekend, so make sure to take a good look at this weekend’s list for all of your fun options.

On April 27, 2016 at 10:45 am, The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a physical domestic dispute that initially occurred in the 800 block of Short Court in the Gardnerville Ranchos.

Western Nevada College student leaders are serious about preventing sexual assault in our society. To bring awareness to the problem, they will lead a free public Sexual Assault Awareness Walk on Saturday, April 30, 10 am.

The 2.3 mile round-trip walk will begin in the parking lot just south of the Bully’s Restaurant at 3530 N. Carson St, at the intersection of U.S. Hwy 395 and West College Parkway in Carson City.

Join the Associated Students of Western Nevada during a Sexual Assault Awareness Walk Saturday, April 30. The walk begins at 10 a.m.

We will meet and begin on the side of the Bully's parking lot (3530 N Carson St, Carson City, NV 89706) and then continue to walk up W. College Parkway all the way up to Western Nevada College (1.5 miles) where we will have speakers along with refreshments for all who attend.

UPDATE MONDAY: Two men were arrested Sunday night after a fight that resulted in gunfire at a Pheasant Drive residence. Matthew Joseph Premo, 20, was booked on suspicion of felony battery with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited from having a firearm and misdemeanor minor consuming alcohol. Bail: $70,242. Also arrested was Andrew Austin Toland, 22. He faces a felony burglary charge and misdemeanor violation of probation conditions. He was treated for a ricochet wound to his ankle. Bail: $23,000.

A 41-year-old Reno man was arrested Wednesday afternoon on felony possession of a controlled substance, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

UPDATE: According to Melanie Porter, Carson City Deputy District Attorney, the suspect has been charged with the following: Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Battery. The District Attorney's Office has not charged the suspect with possession of drug paraphernalia.
