Two jailed in domestic battery where man was stabbed, deputy kicked
Two were arrested Monday at a Sundridge home south of Carson City after a domestic battery in which a woman allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the hand, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
Ashley Minugh, 24, of Gardnerville was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and domestic battery. Jacob Barnard, 26, was arrested on suspicion of battery on a police officer.
According to the arrest report, deputies responded at 5:55 p.m. to a home on Sunburst Drive. When deputies arrived they found Barnard with a stab wound to the hand. The man was combative with East Fork Fire personnel and DCSO deputies. During the investigation Jacob kicked a deputy. The deputy was not injured, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
