All artists and vendors are encouraged to apply for participation in the 3rd Annual Ag & Artisan Holiday Faire on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the historic Storke Dairy at 876C Centerville Lane in Gardnerville. This is a wonderful event, with children from 4-H and FFA showing their animals, roping demonstrations, animal exhibits, antique farm implements, food and beverages, and a hay auction to benefit our local 4-H and FFA programs.

Our event draws families who want to do a little holiday shopping before the Parade of Lights, making a day of it!

The Children’s Museum of Northern Nevada in Carson City is celebrating a Santa visit on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We are having Santa, via Zoom, into the Children’s Museum so that each child can talk and see Santa!

With Camp Wasiu II’s Virtual Camp-In Camp Out, girls can fight learning loss with engaging science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) activities. Camp Wasiu II’s Virtual Camp-In Camp Out is Sunday, July 12 through Thursday, July 16.

The spirit of Christmas is in the air as we head into the final stretch of the work week. Thursday events around the capital city feature an afternoon hike hosted by Muscle Powered, a Carson City tradition with the return of Joyful Noise Holiday Community Show at the Brewery Arts Center and more.

Events around the capital city Monday include a free yoga class offered through Partnership Carson City, the first day kickoff of a Holiday Gift Making Camp at the Brewery Arts Center, a Carson River Trails Project open house hosted by Parks, Recreation and Open Space, a Carson City Democratic luncheon featuring a Bernie Sanders campaign presentation, West Coast swing dancing at Carson Lanes and more.

With activities lining up around the capital city through the weekend, Thursday events around the region include a meeting of the Healthy Communities Coalition in Silver Springs, an afternoon hike hosted by Muscle Powered, and a Carson City CASA volunteer information hour and training seminar. Along the music front, CHS Band will host its winter concert at the Carson City Community Center and our own local country music star and Nashville recording artist Art Mulcahy will be at Jimmy G's. SILVER CITY, Nev. — A number of different groups sponsor an annual summer series of public events in historic Silver City.
